RE: 2005 MOTHER LODE ROUND UP PARADE
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council pass and adopt Resolution Number 03-07-2005-A, authorizing the closure of State Route 49 and certain other City Streets for the 2005 Mother Lode Round Up Parade.
BACKGROUND:
Each year the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Posse sponsors the Mother Lode Round Up Parade on the Saturday preceding Mother's Day. This year the Parade will be held on Satuday May 7, 2005. It is scheduled to begin at 10:00 A.M. and will conclude at approximately 1:00 P.M.
DISCUSSION:
This year's Mother Lode Round Up Parade will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2005. There are no significant changes for this years parade. Due to the size and duration of the parade, a resolution is required from the City Council authorizing the temporary closure of specific streets as well as the temporary elimination of parking on specified streets.
