A Piece of Our Department’s History
This photograph was recently provided to us by IOOF, Lodge# 10 of Sonora. Warren Hirom Dennis was the City Marshal of Sonora from the late 1800’s until his death in 1916. The position of City Marshal was officially renamed Police Chief in 1927.
With this photograph added to our collection, we are only missing a picture of Chief Dewey Walker (cir. 1959).
