An accident at the intersection of S. Washington and Linoberg Streets slowed Monday morning traffic. At approx. 7:55 am, Sonora Police Department responded to the above intersection for a reported two vehicle accident. When Officers arrived, they located two vehicles resting on the edge of the sidewalk, on the west side of the roadway.
Jason McBride, 30 of Sonora, was attempting to cross S. Washington Street, east to west, in his 2000 Chevy sedan, when he failed to see a 2014 Toyota sedan, operated by Faith Dugan 48 of Sonora, traveling southbound on S. Washington Street. Dugan had no time to take evasive action and struck McBride’s vehicle as it attempted to cross in front of her. Dugan complained of pain, but sought her own medical attention. Traffic was slowed for approximately 40 minutes, until both vehicles could be towed from the scene.
