Arrest for possession of a fixed blade knife, drug paraphernalia, and a parole violation.

On 3/18/19, just after 11pm, a Sonora Police Officer made contact with a male near Stewart St. and Church St. The male was found to be on parole for burglary. During a search of the male, a large fixed blade knife was found concealed in his jacket. Hypodermic needles were found in his backpack and he was in possession of a driver’s license that did not belong to him.

Brandon Scott Nelson, 29 of Sonora, was arrested for possession of a concealed fixed blade knife and drug paraphernalia. Further follow-up is being conducted on the driver’s license. A parole hold was placed on Nelson, which means he cannot bail out of jail.
