Assault and Possession of a Concealed Weapon Arrest

On March 29, 2017, at about 4:58 P.M., the Sonora Police Department received a call of an assault at Savemart on Stockton Road. It was reported that a female subject assaulted a Savemart employee. Officers were provided with a description of the female while en route to the call. Officers arrived on scene and observed the female standing in the middle of the parking lot yelling at a person in a passing vehicle. Officers detained the female and observed objective signs of intoxication. Officers arrested and searched the female, who was identified as Kaitlyn Marie Zinn, 26 years old of Sonora. During the search of her person, officers located a 12” meat cleaver concealed in Zinn’s waist band. Zinn was charged with possession of a concealed weapon, battery and public intoxication. Zinn was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail where she remains in custody on $10,000 bail.
