Assault with a deadly weapon and battery causing serious injury arrest

After nearly a week long investigation, Sonora Police officers arrested Kaliem Sage Campau, 18 of Sonora for assault with a deadly weapon and battery causing serious bodily injury. On 02-12-2018, Sonora Police officers learned of an assault that had occurred on or about 02/10/2018, at the abandoned saw mill located at 355 Hospital Road, Sonora. It was reported to officers that Campau had physically assaulted a fourteen year old victim during a party in the abandoned saw mill. Campau allegedly pulled the victim off of an elevated area, causing the victim to fall several feet. Campau then punched the victim several times in the face and then kicked the victim in the head, causing the victim to lose consciousness. The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the assault. Since the initial report, officers have been investigating the allegations and finally caught up with Campau this afternoon. Campau was arrested for felony assault charges and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail where he is being held on $50,000.
