Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Domestic Violence Arrest

On 12/18/2017, just before 3:30 P.M., Sonora Police Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Mono Way for a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with a male and female couple regarding the disturbance. After further investigation, Officers learned that Danielle Kathleen Stellman, 41 years old of Sonora, became involved in a verbal argument with her boyfriend. The fight escalated into a physical altercation when Stellman punched her boyfriend in the face. Stellman then located a metal pipe and used the pipe to strike her boyfriend on his back at least one time. Stellman’s boyfriend received minor injuries as a result of the assault, but declined medical attention. Stellman was arrested for domestic battery causing injury and assault with a deadly weapon. Stellman was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail where she was booked on felony charges and remains in custody on $35,000 bail.
