Assault With a Deadly Weapon – Domestic Battery

On May 30th, just after 9:00 p.m., Sonora Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Hill Street on a reported stabbing. When the officers arrived on scene, they discovered the assault was a result of a domestic disturbance.  From statements and evidence found at the scene, the investigating officer determined that 47-year-old Deborah Ann Fitzgerald was responsible for the stabbing.  It is believed the attack occurred while the victim was lying in bed arguing with Fitzgerald.  The victim was flown to a hospital in Modesto and is reported to be in stable condition.

 

Fitzgerald was arrested for felony domestic battery and assault with a deadly weapon.  She was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail with a bail set at $40,000.
