Subject: Assault with Deadly Weapon
14 Sept. 09, at approx. 9:17 pm, officers contacted a subject who was the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim stated that he was riding his skateboard along the east edge of Stewart St., when he heard a vehicle approaching him. When the victim turned around, he noticed the rear passenger was hanging out of the window and was yelling something at him. At this same time the car intentionally swerved towards the victim striking him.

The impact caused the victim to roll up on the hood and then fall to the pavement. The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Stewart St.. The victim suffered moderate, none life threatening injuries, and was transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center.

The responsible vehicle is described as being a newer model Volkswagen Jetta, dark blue or black in color. There were five occupants in the vehicle, two in the front seat and three in the back seat. The front passenger was a white female approx. 16-17 years old. The rear passenger, who was yelling, was a white male approx. 16-17 years old, wearing a red and black baseball hat.
