Subject: Burglary Arrest
8 Aug. 10, at approx. 8:36 pm, Sonora Police Department responded to a reported burglary of a vehicle in the area of North Stewart St. and Elkin St.. While an officer was talking with the victim, he was contacted by another person, who related that two of their vehicles had also just been burglarized, along with their residence.

The second victim told the officer that they had just returned home and noticed their drapes moving and someone on their front porch. They contact the subject, who was the daughter of a neighbor. The subject asked the victim for money and oxycontin. The victim told the suspect to leave, which she did. It was after the subject left, that the victim noticed someone had removed a screen from their residence and opened a window, leaving behind numerous finger and palm prints.

The first victim gave a description of a male and female they had observed in the area. The description of the female subject matched that of the subject the second victim had contacted on her front porch.

At approx. 9:08 pm, the police department received a report of a male and female arguing on the 300 block of S. Washington St.. Officers contacted the two subjects, who matched the description of the people in the area of the burglaries. The subjects were identified as Meagan McFadden, 22, of River Beach Florida and Brian Armstrong, 27, of Jamestown. Both subjects were identified by the victims. Both subjects were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Tuolumne County Jail.

McFadden was booked for;
• Felony attempted burglary
• Felony conspiracy to commit a crime
• Felony attempt to conceal/destroy evidence
• Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Armstrong was booked for;
• Felony conspiracy to commit a crime
• Misdemeanor prowling
