Attempt Robbery / Obstruct Officer Arrest

On June 4, 2018, at about 6:40pm, Sonora Police received a 911 call reference a fight in the 200 block of Mono Way. Officers’ arrived on scene and determined Daenon Brewer, 27, of Sonora tried to take cigarettes from a business. The victim took the cigarettes back and Brewer hit the victim several times while stating he was going to get a cigarette. Officers’ attempted to contact Brewer who was walking nearby. Brewer took off running and was caught after about a 300 yard foot pursuit up Trunkenmiller Rd. Brewer was arrested for attempted robbery and delaying/obstructing a peace officer. Brewer is on active parole, and a hold was placed on him. Brewer was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail with no bail due to the violation of parole.
