Subject: Burglary Arrest
24 February 2015, at approx. 1:56 am, while performing a patrol check of Rotary Park, an officer observed an open door to the Little League utility shed. As the officer approached the shed, he noticed a flickering light inside the shed, along with a Chevy pick-up parked close by with a subject sitting inside it.
The officer ordered the subject out of the shed. This subject was identified as Joseph Cox, 20 of Groveland. The subject sitting in the truck was identified as Cody Silva, 20 of Sonora. Upon inspecting the door of the shed, it was determined it had been pried open to gain entry.
Cox and Silva were placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Tuolumne County Jail where they were booked for felony burglary and felony conspiracy to commit a crime.
