Burglary Arrests

Subject: Burglary Arrests

29 December 2014, the Sonora Police Department took two burglary reports in the area of the 600 block of Woods Creek Drive. A dentist and a chiropractic office were both burglarized and items removed, including cash and laptop computers.

During the investigation into the burglaries, two suspects were identified. They are Farrell Debates, 21 of Sonora; and Austin Rogers 24 of Sonora. Rogers is on AB 109 release from State Prison for burglary, and reports to the Tuolumne County Probation Department. It was also determined Debates and Rogers were responsible for three other recent burglaries, which had occurred in the County.

12 January 2015, Debates was contacted at his place of employment and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for felony burglary and felony conspiracy.

13 January 2015, with the assistance of the Tuolumne County Probation Department, two search warrants were served in the County, in connection with the burglaries of the dentist and chiropractic offices in the City.

20 January 2015, Rogers showed up at the Tuolumne County Probation Department to report, as part of his release from prison, at which time he was taken into custody without incident. He too was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for felony burglary and felony conspiracy.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
