Burglary, Battery, and Obstruction Arrest

On May 30th, at about 7:49 p.m., Officers were called to the 900 block of Cemetery Lane for a report of an intruder who had fled on foot.  The caller stated a female subject entered her home and took items from the refrigerator, and when confronted dumped liquid from the refrigerator onto the homeowner, her floor and her vehicle.

Officers checked the area and located 41-year-old Zoe Patane of Sonora.  She matched the description of the intruder given by the caller and initially began running when she saw the patrol cars.  Patane eventually stopped running and complied with officers but provided them with a false name and false date of birth.

The homeowner told officers that when she came downstairs to investigate a noise, she found Patane drinking from a carton of juice inside of her home.  She yelled at Patane and threatened to call law enforcement at which point Patane became verbally and physically assaultive.  Patane shoved the homeowner, threw juice on her, and then threw the carton of juice at the homeowner’s car.

Patane was booked for burglary of an occupied home, battery, obstructing an officer and other charges.
