Centenarian Luncheon

Subject: Tuolumne County’s Centenarian Luncheon

On 5 October 2016, Lt. VanderWiel, Chief Stinson, along with members of the California Highway Patrol assisted with the Tuolumne County Centenarian Luncheon. The Officers duties included greeting the awardees, escorting them to their tables, presenting recognition certificates, and of course serving them lunch. After lunch, several of the awardees opted for photos with the Officers.

The following people were honored at the event, which was held by the Tuolumne County Centenarian Society, at the Tuolumne County Senior Center.

Freshmen; born in 1920 (96 years old); Gertrude Fueg, Mildred, Harlan, Wanna Inks, Jack Moiola, and Ruth Shaw.

Sophomores; born in 1919 (97 years old); none.

Juniors; born in 1918 (98 years old); Rhoda Carpo, Irene Hatcher, Bill Logan, Leona Molin, Mary Rideout, and Marcie Sowa.

Seniors; born in 1917 (99 years old); Reginad “Reggie” Chisholm, and Eldore Loy.

Centenarians; born in 1916 (100 years old); Harry Benoist, and Kathryn Runkle.

Alumni; 100 plus years old; Frances Bartels 110 years old, Agnes Christianson 102 years old, Lois Forkner 101 years old, Ann Freeman 101 years old, Jewel Guhl 101 years old, Catherine Hitch 102 years old, Fern Johannes 102 years old (on the day of the event), Thelma Nagle 104 years old, and Joe Quintel 101 years old.
