CRIMINAL THREATS ARREST

On Tuesday, January 17th, just before 630 p.m., the Sonora Police Department arrested 28-year-old Steven William Gentis of Twain Harte for Felony Criminal Threats. Sonora Police Officers had taken a report alleging that Gentis threatened to return to the hospital emergency room on a specific date with a gun. Other comments were made by Gentis indicating his intent to cause great bodily harm or death to multiple individuals at the hospital. At one point during the initial contact with Gentis, he became physically violent with police officers and had to be wrestled into handcuffs. An officer suffered minor injuries as a result of the confrontation, but Gentis was subdued without any serious injury to any of the parties involved.

Steven Gentis was booked at Tuolumne County Jail and his bail was set at $20,000.
