Domestic Battery and Criminal Threats Arrest

On December 7th, just after 2:00 p.m., the Sonora Police Department responded to a report of Domestic Battery at the 200 block of Snell Street. During the investigation, officers learned that 23-year-old Shane Steven Johnson of Sonora had assaulted his live-in girlfriend during an argument at their home. The victim told officers that Johnson had physically forced her from the home; after throwing her to the floor and putting her in a headlock. During the assault, Johnson also threatened to cause great bodily harm or death to his girlfriend. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain injuries during the assault.

Johnson was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for Domestic Battery and Criminal Threats.
