Domestic Battery Arrest

On 02-18-2018, at 10:15 AM, Sonora Police Officers were called to a report of a domestic disturbance in the area of Forest Road near Stockton Rd. Officers arrived in the area and located a female subject who had been involved in the disturbance. Officers determined the female had been in a physical fight with her boyfriend, identified as Joshua Howard Williamson, 37 of Sonora. The female alleged that Williamson struck her several times, causing visible injuries. Williamson also held the female down to prevent her from leaving the area. Williamson had left the area and officers were unable to locate him at that time. Officers also learned that Williamson was the restrained party in a valid criminal protective order where the female in this case was the protected person.

On 02-19-2018, Sonora Police Officers located Williamson walking along Stockton Road. Officers arrested Williamson for felony domestic battery and violation of a criminal protective order. Williamson was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.
