Subject: Subject Arrested For DUI Twice Within 24 Hours
15 June 2012, at approx. 9:27 pm, Officers from the Sonora Police Department responded to Big O Tires on Mono Way, regarding a female driver who had lost control of her vehicle on Greenley Road and struck a curb, causing her vehicle to suffer a flat tire.
Upon Officers arrival, they made contact with the driver who was identified as Michelle King, 27 of Sonora. Also in King’s vehicle was her 1 year old son. Officers determined that King had been operating her vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.
King was placed under arrest and transported to the Tuolumne County Jail where she was booked for felony child endangerment and misdemeanor driving under the influence. King’s child was turned over to Child Welfare Services.
16 June 2012, at approx. 9:41 pm, The Sonora Police Department received a report of an erratic female driver. The vehicle and driver description matched that of King. Officers located and stopped the vehicle, which was in fact King’s vehicle, and King was operating the vehicle. It was again determined that King was driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
King was placed under arrest and transported to the Tuolumne County Jail where she was booked again for misdemeanor driving under the influence.
