Subject: Drug arrest
16 July 2010, at approx. 1:56 pm, officers from the Sonora Police Department responded to the area of Ross Dress For Less, for a report of a subject attempting to sell some type of pills to customers inside the business.
When officers arrived, they contacted Dustin Depolo, 28, of Tuolumne, outside the business. It was determined that Depolo was the person they had received the report on. Depolo was also exhibiting signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
As the officers went to handcuff Depolo, he became combative and a fight insured. An electronic control device was utilized to gain control of Depolo. After Depolo was cuffed, a search of Depolo’s person revealed 32 Clonazepam.
As the officers continued their investigation, they learned that one of the subjects Depolo had attempted to sell the Clonazepam to be only 15 years old. Depolo was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for;
Felony attempting to sell a controlled substance to a minor
Misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance
Misdemeanor obstructing an officer
