Drug arrest

On August 13th, approximately 3:19 p.m., Sonora Police Officers were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance in the Wal Mart parking lot. The caller reported observing a male and female seated in a Gold colored Ford Expedition using syringes and tin foil. Officers arrived on scene and located the vehicle. Officers made contact with Allison Trantham, 30 of Lodi and Joshua Banks, 26 of Stockton who were occupying the vehicle. A records check of Trantham was conducted and it was determined she had a no bail misdemeanor arrest warrant out of San Joaquin County. Trantham was taken into custody and during a search of her hand bag, officers located drug paraphernalia used to ingest controlled substances. Officers also searched the passenger compartment of the vehicle and located more paraphernalia used to ingest controlled substances as well as a small amount of methamphetamine. Banks was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia. Trantham was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail where she was booked for the no bail warrant as well as for fresh charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
