Subject: Drug arrest
7 July 2010, at approx. 9:08 pm, an Officer from the Sonora Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Gold St., near Stewart St., for a mechanical violation.
The officer contacted the driver and the passenger. The passenger was identified as Joshua Murray, 30, of Jamestown. A records’ checked showed that Murray was on felony probation for burglary.
A search of Murray and the area of the vehicle where Murray was seated revealed; a used glass smoking pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine, three plastic baggies containing methamphetamine, a loaded hypodermic needle believed to contain methamphetamine, a plastic straw with white residue believed to be methamphetamine, a plastic pen tube with white residue believed to be methamphetamine, along with other items of drug paraphernalia.
Murray was taken into custody without incident. Murray was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for;
Felony possession of a controlled substance
Felony violation of felony probation
Misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia
Misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle
