Rager was taken into custody without incident and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle. While the officer was waiting for a tow truck, a 1998 Chevy sedan, operated by Martin Samudio, 41, of Sonora, ran into the back of the parked patrol vehicle causing moderate damage to the patrol vehicle.
Rager complained of pain and was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment; prior to being transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and being booked for felony possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled narcotic.
The California Highway patrol was called to investigate the collision. Following their investigation they arrested Samudio for felony driving under the influence and driving without a drivers’ license.
