Subject: Drug Sales Arrest

14 February 2011, at approx. 12:34 pm, an Officer from the Sonora Police Department observed James Tracy Jr., 22 of Sonora, walking on Stockton Road. The Officer knew that Tracy had an active warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court on a possession of narcotics charge.

The Officer contacted Tracy and took him into custody without incident. Tracy admitted to the Officer that he had over 1.5 grams of methamphetamine in his possession, along with a pipe for smoking methamphetamine and a syringe.

During a search of Tracy’s person, scales were found which were set to measure in grams, along with several empty small plastic zip lock bags which are often used for storing methamphetamine in. There were also numerous text messages on Tracy’s cell phone from people wanting to purchase narcotics from Tracy.

Tracy was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for;

• Felony possession of a controlled substance for sale
• Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
• Misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic
