On October 22, 2017, just after 11:00 p.m., Sonora Police Officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart on a reported embezzlement. Upon arrival, they learned that 19-year-old, Joseph E. Sifuentes of Soulsbyville had been embezzling merchandise since sometime in October of this year. Sifuentes was determined to be an employee of the business and was observed on surveillance video taking electronics from the store. The value of the merchandise totaled well over $1,000. Sifuentes was taken into custody by the Sonora Police Department and booked into county jail.
