Felony battery on cohabitant

Subject: Felony Domestic Violence Arrest
11 July 2010, at approx. 6:10 pm, an officer from the Sonora Police Department responded to the emergency room of Sonora Regional Medical Center to contact a victim of a domestic dispute.
The officer contacted the victim, who was being treated for a bite to his right bicep and several deep scratches to his face, neck, arms and back. The victim related that the injuries were caused by his x-girlfriend Genessa Christian, 25, of Sonora.
The victim and Christian had recently separated. The victim stopped by Christian’s residence to remove his remaining property. While at the residence, Christian became historical and attacked the victim and attempted to scratch the victim’s eyes out and bit him on the arm. The victim was able to break free from Christian and exit the residence. Because of the severity of his injuries the victim drove to the emergency room for treatment.
Christian was contacted at her residence and taken into custody without incident. She was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for felony corporal injury to a cohabitant.
