Subject: Felony Drunk Driving Arrest

2 April 2016, at approx. 2:19 am, emergency personnel responded to South Stewart Street, near Williams Street, for a reported vehicle vs. power pole accident. The driver was identified as Megan Powers, 28 of Jamestown. Her passenger was identified as Linda Winter, 51 of Oakdale. Winter suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment. Power’s 2004 Nissan Exterra sustained major damage.
During the accident investigation, it was determined Powers was under the influence. She was placed under arrest without incident and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for felony driving under the influence, resulting in an injury. Pacific Gas and Electric responded and secured the pole.
