Subject: Reminder
With the holiday season upon us, The Sonora Police Department would like to remind everyone to lock their vehicles and to keep all valuables contained within thier vehicles out of sight.

Unfortunately, several daytime vehicle burglaries have occurred in recent weeks within the City of Sonora, along with a couple of auto thefts. Most of these have occurred in the parking lots of businesses. In each burglary case, some type of valuable item(s) had been left inside the vehicle, which was in plain view.

The Sonora Police Department would like to remind everyone;

• Secure your vehicle when you leave it unattended, even for a few seconds.
• Always take valuable items with you or place them in the trunk or another secure area inside your vehicle where they are not visible.
• Always park in a well light area.
• Never leave your keys in the ignition or your vehicle running and unattended.
• Always report any suspicious person(s) who appears to be looking into vehicles.
• Always report anyone who is tampering with a vehicle.
