3 February 2015, at approx. 3:07 pm, emergency personnel responded to the area of Greenley and Delnero Roads, for a report of a vehicle over an embankment. When emergency personnel arrived they located a Ford van tittering on a large rock, located between the two roadways.

After the fire department stabilized the vehicle, the driver and passenger were removed from the vehicle. The driver was identified as Erik Estrada, 44 of Twain Harte and the passenger was his 70 year old mother.

Estrada, who is a quadriplegic, stated he was exiting the parking lot of Bob’s Greenley Pharmacy, when his vehicle accelerated abruptly. Before he was able to stop the vehicle, the vehicle jumped the south sidewalk of Delnero Road, knocked over a small tree then came to rest on a large rock, located in the landscape of Sonora Regional Medical Center.

Estrada sustained a laceration to his face and was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment. His mother later went to the hospital with a complaint of pain to her back.
