On 23 November 2015, at approx. 2:42 PM, Janice Turley, 66 of Sonora, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on Stockton Rd, approaching the SR 108 intersection, when she failed to stop for a 2010 Lexus RX 350, which was stopped at the stop sign for the SR 108 intersection.
The Lexus was being driven by Patricia Lingo, 62 of Sonora. The front of the Chevrolet collided with the rear of the Lexus, pushing the Lexus into the westbound lane of SR 108.
Turley suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision and was transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center. Lingo did not suffer any injuries as a result of the collision. Neither, alcohol or drugs was a factor in the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
