Injury Traffic Collision

On Monday, June 5th at approximately 11:01 a.m., Sonora Police officers responded to a vehicle vs. bicycle traffic collision. A Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department Community Service vehicle collided with a 10-year-old male juvenile bicyclist at the intersection of W. Stockton Street (SR 49) and S. Washington Street. The bicyclist was transported to a medical facility; however, he does not appear to have life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is unknown at this time as the investigation is still ongoing.  We do ask that anyone who witnessed the collision to call the Sonora Police Department with that information.
