Subject: Marijuana Cultivation Arrest
21 May 2011, at approx. 11:19 pm, an officer from the Sonora Police Department stopped a van for speeding on Greenley Rd. As the officer approached the van, they could smell the odor of fresh marijuana coming from inside the van.
The Officer contacted the driver, who was identified as David Dohoney, 64 of Pittsburg, CA, and a passenger, who was identified as Keith Scott, 43 of Pittsburg, CA.
Inside the vehicle were 45 Marijuana plants, along with $5,000 in cash.
Neither Dohoney nor Scott had a recommendation to possess the plants. They were both taken into custody without incident and transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for;
• Felony transportation of Marijuana
• Felony Cultivation of Marijuana
• Felony Conspiracy to commit a crime
