Subject: No bail warrant arrest
18 June 2011, the Sonora Police Department was contacted by the Scotts Valley Police Department regarding a fleeing felon they were looking for. The Scotts Valley Police Department reported they had obtained information that William Hickman, 23 of Santa Cruz ,was at a residence on Morning Star Drive, in the City of Sonora.
At approx. 9:22 pm, officers made contact with a resident at the location provided by the Scotts Valley Police Department. The resident claimed that Hickman was not at the residence and refused to let officers in, even though officers could see Hickman inside the residence. Officers detained the resident so they could enter the residence and arrest Hickman.
Once inside the residence, officers at first couldn’t locate Hickman. Then during a search of the attic, Hickman was located hiding in the attic. Hickman was removed from the attic and placed into custody. Hickman was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked on the following warrants out of Santa Cruz;
• Felony warrant for failing to appear in court on felony possession of controlled narcotics (No bail)
• Felony warrant for felon in possession of ammunition and felony possession of a controlled substances (No bail)
• Felony violation of release from jail agreement (No bail)
Hickman was also booked on local misdemeanor warrants for violation of probation and for traffic offenses.
