On 24-November 2016, 39-year-old Douglas Randal Power of Fresno California was arrested in connection with a vehicle theft, possession of metal knuckles, and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Just after 8:00 am on Thanksgiving Day, Sonora Police Officers were called to a residence on Mono Way in Sonora. A resident of the home called to report that Douglas Power was at the residence and attempting to sell what was believed to be suspicious property. The reporting party advised the police Department that she became uneasy with Power’s activities and left the area to call 911.

Upon the officer’s arrival, they located Douglas Power in close proximity to a 2003 Chevrolet Duramax pickup and a utility trailer parked at the residence. Officers determined the Chevy pickup was stolen out of Fresno on 11 November 2016. Douglas Power was taken into custody without incident. A search of his belongings produced a pair of metal knuckles, over a gram of suspected methamphetamine, and several glass methamphetamine pipes. Douglas Power was booked on both felony and misdemeanor charges. Bail was set at $10,000.

This investigation is ongoing.
