Possible Stabbing

Early Saturday morning, just before 1:00 a.m., we received a call from the Emergency Room concerning a patient who was being treated for a possible stab wound.  Officers responded and contacted a 28-year-old male victim with a small puncture wound to his neck and a laceration to one of his fingers.

The victim was heavily intoxicated and provided little information as to how he received the injuries or who was responsible.  He did say that he was stabbed and that it happened in Sonora.  It is believed the incident may have occurred somewhere in the vicinity of South Washington Street in downtown Sonora.   Thankfully, the victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.

If anybody has information about assault; please call the Sonora Police Department at (209) 532-8141
