Subject: Robbery Arrest
11 July 2011, at approx. 8:10 pm, Officers from the Sonora Police Department responded to a reported fight in progress on Livingston St. When officers arrived, they made contact with the female victim.
The victim related that her ex-boyfriend, Israel Renteria Jr., who is on parole for assault with a deadly weapon, had slashed the tires to her vehicle with a knife, while she was sitting inside it. Renteria Jr. then reached inside the vehicle, through an open window, and forcibly removed the victim’s cell phone from her hands. Renteria Jr. then fled the area with the victim’s cell phone.
12 July 2011, at approx. 6:47 am, Renteria Jr. went to the victim’s house and entered it. This time Renteria Jr. took additional property belonging to the victim. Once again, Renteria Jr. fled the area after forcibly taking property from the victim.
Later, Renteria Jr. surrendered himself to his parole agent, who brought Renteria Jr. to the Sonora Police Department. Renteria Jr. still had some of the victim’s stolen property in his possession. Renteria Jr. was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for;
