Subject: Rollover DUI Accident

On 21 July 2015, at approx. 11:58 am, emergency personnel responded to Stockton Road, east of Mill Villa Court, for a reported single vehicle rollover accident.

It was determined Jerrod Leonhardt, 33 of Fremont, was eastbound on Stockton Road in a 2008 GMC P/U, when he reached down to pick up his cell phone; while doing so, he allowed his vehicle to drift to the right, off the roadway and up a rock embankment. This caused the vehicle to rollover and come to rest blocking the eastbound traffic lane. Leonhardt was the sole occupant of the vehicle and he sustained minor injuries.

During the investigation of the accident, it was determined

Leonhardt was under the influence. Leonhardt was arrested without incident and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail. The eastbound lane of Stockton Road was closed for over an hour and a half during the investigation and vehicle removal.
