Sexual Assault

Subject: Sexual Assault

29 July 2015, at approx. 7:30 pm, a Sheriff’s Deputy was flagged down outside of the homeless shelter located on S. Washington Street; and advised of a sexual assault which had occurred at the shelter. The Sheriff’s Department contacted the Police Department and officers responded, along with the department’s investigator.

It was determined a 33 year old female staying at the shelter was forced by a male resident of the shelter to perform oral copulation on him. The male resident was identified as Anthony Moore, 40. Moore’s last known address is Richmond, CA.

Moore was contacted and taken into custody without incident. Moore was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for felony forced oral copulation, felony inflecting corporal injury and misdemeanor batter.

The investigation into this matter in ongoing.
