18 June 09, at approx. 11:11 pm, an officer heard a verbal dispute in front of Zane’s Iron Horse Bar, located on S. Washington St.. When the officer walked up to the two female subjects who were arguing, one took off running through the bar. The subject, who was later identified as Jennifer Alberto, 36 of Sonora, ran out the backdoor of the bar and got into the passenger side of a Toyota pick-up and left the area.
The officer contacted the other female subject to determine what had occurred. The female subject related that her purse came up missing, while she was inside the bar. Then while looking for her purse, she noticed that Alberto was in possession of her purse. She confronted Alberto about having her purse, which lead to a physical confrontation. During the altercation the strap on the purse broke and the contents fell to the ground. It was at this point Alberto ran back inside the bar.
A short time later, Officers located Alberto sitting in the Toyota pickup. She was taken into custody without incident. Alberto was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for Robbery.
