Sonora Wal Mart Arson Arrest
On Friday December 29th just before 3:30 A.M., The Sonora Police and Fire Department responded to a report of a large fire behind Wal Mart, 1101 Sanguinetti Road, Sonora. Upon arrival, it was determined several pallets were on fire. Fire personnel extinguished the fire and the cause was determined to be suspicious in nature. Sonora Police Officers reviewed surveillance video footage from Wal Mart and observed a male subject intentionally start the fire. Officers recognized the subject depicted in the surveillance video as Aaron Eugene Jolley, 32 of Sonora.
Later that morning a Sonora Police Officer spotted Jolley and arrested him for starting the fire. Jolley was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for arson to property.
