Unfortunately, the pedestrian that was struck on Saturday has succumbed to his injuries.

On Saturday, November 18th, just after 7 p.m., the Sonora Police Department responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in the 300 block of Stockton Street. It was determined that a 2004 red Honda SUV, driven by a 47-year-old Sonora woman, was traveling eastbound on Stockton Road and had struck a 38-year-old man also from Sonora. The male was crossing Stockton Road from north to south outside of any marked crosswalk when the collision occurred. The male sustained moderate to severe injuries and was transported out of county for medical treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The cause of the collision under investigation is still ongoing.
