Subject: Stolen Vehicle Arrest

20 September 2015, at approx. 8:22 pm, an employee of Wal-Mart called the Sonora Police Department, and reported two male subjects were going through vehicles in the business’s parking lot and stealing items. One of the items stolen was a very distinctive knife.

An officer checking the area for the two suspects ran a license plate of a vehicle in the area. The vehicle came back stolen out of Ceres. The officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, who was identified as Jonathan Seeger, 25 of Waterford. Seeger is on probation out of Stanislaus County.

Located inside the vehicle was property stolen from vehicles parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot, along with the distinctive knife. Stolen items from businesses in the area were also located in the vehicle, along with methamphetamine, burglary tools, and drug paraphernalia.

Seeger was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for felony auto theft, and six other misdemeanor chargers. The second male subject was not located, nor has he been identified.
