Date and Time of Incident: 24 February 2011, around dusk

Subject: Suspicious Circumstance
Friday, 25 February 2011, the Sonora Police Department was contacted regarding a suspicious circumstance that had occurred on Thursday, 24 February around dusk.

The father of an 11 year old male called the Sonora Police Department and reported a suspicious circumstance involving his son. The juvenile was walking in the area of Bradford Street, near the St. Patrick’s Church, when an unknown white male adult exited a parked van and approached him. The male subject didn’t say anything, but walked toward the juvenile, while looking directly at him.

The subject came within approx. 10 yards of the juvenile, when the juvenile sensed something was wrong, so the juvenile turned around and ran away from the area and the male subject. There is no indication that the male subject chased after the juvenile.

The adult male is described as white, 5-6 to 5-7, 145-165 pounds, mid 20’s to 30’s, wearing a black baseball type hat with a flat bill, black hooded sweatshirt that was pulled over his head, and baggy pants.

The vehicle is described as a silver colored minivan, with tinted windows, unknown make or model.
