Weapons Arrest
On November 29th, just after 6:00 PM, Sonora Police Officers responded to the area of 950 Sylva Lane for a report of a suspicious vehicle that had been parked in front of the business at that location. Officers arrived on scene and contacted two subjects near the vehicle. Officers conducted records checks of the subjects and determined Robert William Reed, 37 years old of Sonora, was on probation. During a search of Reed’s person, officers located drug paraphernalia and a fixed blade knife canceled on his person. Reed was arrested for possession of a dirk or dagger, a felony and possession of drug paraphernalia. Reed was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail where he was booked and remains in custody on $10,000 bail.
