Welcome to SPD Officer Olson!
We would like to introduce our newest Police Officer, Darwin Olson.
After graduating from Amador Valley High School, Darwin joined the United States Navy where he was stationed on the USS TARAWA LHA-1 out of San Diego.
In 2012 Darwin moved to Sonora with his wife, who is a Sonora native. In April of 2012 Darwin was hired on with the Tuolumne Band of Mi Wuk Indians, Tribal Security. After three years as a patrol Security Officer, Darwin was promoted to Security Sergeant.
Darwin graduated from the Police Academy at San Joaquin Delta College in July of this year.
Darwin is a proud husband and father of three beautiful daughters. He is excited for this new chapter and looks forward to a long career with Sonora Police Department.
