Arrest for Assault with a Deadly Weapon

44-Year-old Jeannette Papineau of Torrance, California, was arrested Sunday for battery and assault with a deadly weapon.
On May 30, just before 6:30 pm, Officers were dispatched to the Heaven for Kids skate park for a report of a woman with a knife. When the officers arrived on scene, bystanders identified Papineau as the subject who brandished the knife. Papineau was detained, and officers recovered the knife alleged to have been used during the incident.
The victim reported having a verbal altercation with Papineau, which became physical when Papineau grabbed her by her hair and struck her head multiple times. When the victim fought back, Papineau reportedly let the victim go, then retrieved a knife from her vehicle. The victim alleged that Papineau then moved aggressively toward her, making slashing motions with the knife. The victim was able to call 911 and reports that when Police arrived, Papineau attempted to conceal the knife in her vehicle.
Papineau was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for battery and assault with a deadly weapon.
