Felony Evasion and Drug Paraphernalia

Last week 28-year-old Bruce Allen Davis of Goshen Indiana was arrested for felony evasion and other misdemeanor charges.

On June 13th, just after 9:00 pm, one of our Sergeants observed a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed and driving recklessly in the area of South Washington Street near William Street.  The Sergeant attempted to pull the motorcycle over, but the driver failed to stop and led the Sergeant and another SPD officer on a pursuit.  Officers perused Davis southbound Washington Street and eastbound Hwy 108 at speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour.  Davis ultimately lost control of the motorcycle and crashed near the east entrance of Twain Harte.  Davis did not sustain any significant injuries and was immediately taken into custody.  During a search of Davis and his belongings, officers located a glass pipe and a hypodermic needle.

In addition to felony evasion, Davis was booked for possession of paraphernalia and for operating a motorcycle on a suspended license
