Man Arrested for Threats With a Knife

On 06/10/2020 Officers responded to the 400 block of W. Stockton St for a call of a man with a knife. According to witness statements, 34-year-old Levi Coon from Sonora got into a verbal argument with another man. Coon got angry and threatened the man with a knife.

Officers Located Coon in the area and attempted to contact him. Coon grabbed the knife out of his pocket and refused to put it down. After negotiating with coon for several minutes, he dropped the knife and was taken into custody without further incident.

Coon was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail where he was booked on the charges of Felony Criminal Threats, Felony Assault with a deadly weapon, and brandishing a weapon. Coon is still in custody and being held on $40,000 bail.
