REMINDER

Chief Mark Stinson would like to invite the public to the Opera Hall on Tuesday, August 4th between 6:00 and 7:30 pm for an ice cream social as part of the Sonora Police Department’s celebration of National Night Out. Each area Sergeant from the Sonora Police Department will be present to answer questions and concerns regarding issues or problems in your neighborhoods. Sonora City Neighborhood Watch groups are also encouraged to attend to give updates on their areas activities.

This year’s guest speaker will be Tuolumne County District Attorney Laura Krieg, who will be discussing AB 109, realignment and Proposition 47. Also on hand, as part of a joint NNO program this year, will be representatives from the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, and the California Highway Patrol. They will answer any questions or concerns anyone may have within their jurisdictions, which are outside the City of Sonora.

Following the presentation and a question and answer period, Chief Stinson and his staff will be serving ice cream to all the attendees. Come and join the Sonora Police Department, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, and the California Highway Patrol at the Opera Hall and help give crime a going away party.
