3 December, at approx. 5:00 pm, 79 year old Dale Batchelor of Sonora was entering a crosswalk at the intersection of Washington and Bradford Streets.

As Batchelor stepped into the roadway from the east sidewalk, he was struck by a 2013 GM Acadia, driven by 39 year old Jennifer McLevis of Sonora, who was turning northbound onto Washington Street from Westbound Bradford Street.

Batchelor stated both of his feet were run over by the front tire of the vehicle, causing him to fall to the pavement resulting in additional injuries. Batchelor was transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Alcoholic and/or drugs were not a factor in this accident. The investigation is on going.
